Raj learned his work ethic doing framing for his father as a boy. As a teen, he took jobs at “Big Box”stores but discovered that he didn’t want to work for anyone else. A serial entrepreneur was born!
Raj began working for himself at just age 18. Construction contracts to build Blockbuster Video
Stores and H&R Block locations soon yielded enough savings to purchase a Quiznos. Raj studied successful management techniques and began developing his signature style.
A love of cars drives business success Raj has always loved cars. At just 22 he opened his first car wash, Wash World, and ventured into other automotive businesses with Lube World and Auto World. A small college, which he named “Gateway Community College”, soon followed.
The Aadmi Group
At this time Raj put his companies under an umbrella corporation, The Aadmi Group. Holdings were estimated at approximately $100 million and included all of the companies Raj had carefully built.
Losing everything…
In 2008 the world faced the worst economic disaster since the Great Depression of 1929. Raj lost
everything – his capital, his businesses… and his confidence. The next two years were hard. “Of
course I was depressed – who wouldn’t be in that situation?” Says Raj. “But my father always taught me that the meaning of success is not how far you fall, but how many times you get back up.”
…Without losing his way.
This period led Raj on a journey of self-discovery. Raj trained his mind and body to withstand the
stresses of today’s challenge-fraught world, and pioneered the Mental Toughness Challenge that
incorporates mindfulness meditation, self-improvement and physical activity. His dedication to wellness brought Raj full-circle, back into the world of leading-edge entrepreneurs. Raj rebuilt the Aadmi Group from the ground up. His first venture was Speedwash, among the first express tunnel car washes in Canada capable of handling up to 200 cars per hour.
Raj’s interest in wellness and physical fitness led Raj to open Vancouver’s Drip Lounge Wellness Clinic. Real Estate and financial holdings are now also part of the portfolio of the Aadmi Group, including The Matrixx Real Estate Group, The Matrixx Group, and Aadmi Holdings.
